Support Tea

Several months ago, a few of our members started meeting at a local coffee or tea shop for what we called "Support Tea." At the time, a member was facing some troubling issues and needed someone to talk to. What started as a simple gathering to offer support has since evolved into a cherished tradition. Now, any member can suggest a "tea" at any local restaurant, and whoever is available at that time will come and have a cozy chat with them. Sometimes it's just two people; other times, it’s a lively group of twenty!

Last week, one of our wonderful members, Dee, organized a Support Tea at an actual tea house—Lanier House in Madison, AL. It was a truly special experience, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dee for arranging such a lovely gathering. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to share stories, laughter, and encouragement. https://www.lanierhousemadison.com/

We also want to take a moment to express our gratitude to all the incredible women who have participated in Support Tea over the past months. Your willingness to show up, listen, and support one another is what makes this group so special.

If you ever feel like you could use a Support Tea—or if you’d like to organize one—please don’t hesitate to reach out. Whether it's a quick coffee chat or a full afternoon at a tea house, we’re here for each other. Let’s continue to foster this beautiful tradition of kindness, connection, and support.

It really was a lovely time. The sugar high lasted quite a while!

I enjoy support tea so much every time. It doesn't matter where we end up going, it's always good conversation and great company.
